Best Practices to Prepare for NEET 2018 with Just Few Months Left

If you are preparing for the NEET 2018 exam, you must be on your toes with just few months left for it. The NEET 2018 exam is set to be conducted on May 10, 2018.

Aspirants need to clear this exam for getting admissions to the dental and medical courses at the various private and government medical institutes across the country.

The competition of NEET is very tough. In NEET 2017, around 11.6 lakhs candidates appeared for only 52,715 seats. Follow the below guidelines to secure a good ranking in NEET 2018 and get a seat at your desired college.

1- Follow a Suitable Timetable

You must formalize a timetable considering your strengths and weaknesses for the preparation of NEET. Also try to materialize the same to the best possible extent.

A robust timetable would help you in focusing on your aim to crack the NEET exam. You are suggested to distribute your every week’s time amongst the three subjects based on your comfort-level.

The questions in the NEET exam are asked from the 11th and 12th class syllabus of CBSE. So pay extra attention to 11th class syllabus, in case you are appearing in 12th class exams as well.

You may modify your time table based on your level of ongoing preparation. Do not study for long hours at a time. You must take short breaks in between to freshen up your mind.

2- Pickup Gradually

Studying the complex topics at the beginning should always be avoided. It will be of no use unless your basics are clear. Note that the NCERT books are best to start with, as those explain the NEET syllabus topics in a proper comprehensive flow of complexity.

It is always good to make your key notes including the important formulas of all the topics. This will help you in understanding and memorizing those in the required scenarios while attempting the numerical problems.

You must cover those chapters first, which cover most questions in the NEET exam. Once you are well confident with those, start preparing the chapters with lesser priority.

3- Spare Time to Revise

Remember that the preparation of any entrance exam is never that fruitful, until you do not revise what you learnt. Once after studying all the theory sections, practise lots of questions.

Solve the questions from the NEET exams of past years. Refer to multiple sample papers and try to solve as much of those as you can.

4- Try Out Mock Tests

You must solve full length mock tests once you are well confident with your preparation. By attempting mock tests, you will get an idea to manage your time of the real NEET exam.

Mock tests basically boost-up the confidence-level of the students. If you will attempt a lots of mock tests post your preparation, your mind would be stabilized while attempting the real NEET exam.

5- Know the NEET 2018 Exam Pattern

You should understand each and every aspect of the NEET 2018 exam pattern. This will avoid you to face last moment surprizes in the exam, and also help you in preparing for the exam.

NEET 2018 will be an offline mode exam containing 180 questions in 180 minutes. The questions will be of multiple-choice type. Each question will carry four marks, and there will be negative marking of one mark for incorrect answers.
