The by Asus is all set to take smartphone photography on next level. The credit to create thinnest smartphone in the world with 3x optical zoom also goes to Asus ZenFone Zoom. The company unveiled the new product at an event in Agra. The phone looks sleek and impressive as compared to smartphones which had optical zoom previously. Samsung Galaxy Zoom with similar feature didn’t manage to attract buyers.

The product manages to look like smartphone at the back despite sporting powerful lens. The company wanted to give power photography experience in a smartphone. The Samsung’s attempt to deliver optical zoom feature failed because they gave camera with a sim slot. The Japanese company Hoya has designed the lens for the device. Hoya is already famous for making top notch lenses for smartphones and digital cameras. There are no physical movements of the lens panel outside the camera body. The zoom mechanism has been fixed inside the body at the angle of 90 degrees. Asus ZenFone Zoom

This has helped to maintain a slim profile at the back. The curved designs also hide its relatively thick form factor. Hoya can also sell the same lens architecture to other companies. At the price of Rs. 37,999, the Asus ZenFone Zoom comes with Intel Atom quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz along with 4GB RAM. It comes with solid 128GB of internal memory along with 128GB expandable memory via microSD card. 5.5 inch full HD display would be powered by 3000mAh battery. Asus ‘s Zenfone Zoom has 13MP primary camera along 5MP front camera.
